3CX V18 Alpha 4: App Auto Selects Best Codec

V18 Alpha 4 is out now! Here is what you can expect to find:
App: Auto set codec depending on Network (WiFi/3G/4G)


Set the default codec to use when the App is on the mobile network or WiFi. This allows you to automatically use a better-quality codec when on WiFi (G711) and a different codec (G729) when the app is on a mobile data network for reliability and optimal bandwidth usage.
Plus, 3CX has now made it possible for admins to set the priority of codecs centrally for all the 3CX apps in the installation.

Fresh, new web client interface

Work in progress: the web client has a completely new look for you to explore! We’ve opted for more modern and minimalistic icons which take up less space for a bigger area of functionality. We have also improved the dialer, added various usability improvements and made the client more mobile friendly. Stay tuned, more improvements are on the way.
Other fixes & improvements
  • Added support to forward
  • messages to a person or recent conversation.
  • Added ability for users to add and remove members from a group chat.
  • Users can now see the DIDs assigned to them in their settings.
  • Added ability to keep track of administrator sign-in to the management console in audit log.
