If your domain still uses this UPN suffix, you have to assign an alternative suffix with your company&#8217;s public domain. Microsoft no longer recommends setting up domains in private-only domain spaces, as public trusted certificates can no longer be issued to non-public domains.<\/p>\n<p>In brief, upon due diligence testing, you can add in Active Directory Domains and Trust an alternative UPN suffix. Select a domain you own or buy a new one for your domain activities only.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/45.33.92.219\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/unnamed-3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12942 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/45.33.92.219\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/unnamed-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"321\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Once added, you can start to map users from the old suffix to the new domain. Their login schematic might change by doing this!Helpful technology in the corona pandemic.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/45.33.92.219\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/image4-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12943 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/45.33.92.219\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/image4-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"717\" height=\"262\" \/><\/a>Step 2 \u2013 Create an Azure AD Tenant<\/p>\n<p>Creating an Azure AD is entirely free, and you can use it without being a Microsoft 365 customer; how to make it is well explained <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/azure\/active-directory\/fundamentals\/active-directory-access-create-new-tenant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. Once done, create a &#8220;Custom domain name&#8221; for this tenant and set it as default. It must match your UPN suffix.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h6><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/45.33.92.219\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/unnamed-5.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12944 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/45.33.92.219\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/unnamed-5.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"325\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p><strong>Step 3 \u2013 Synchronize<\/p>\n<p>Last step is to upload your local users to Azure AD. Install the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/download\/details.aspx?id=47594\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Microsoft Azure Active Directory<\/a> Connect tool on your AD server.
