The Impact of Cloud on Tele-communications; An Entire Industry Disrupted<\/h2>\n

The\u00a0Cloud has disrupted the entire\u00a0telecommunications\u00a0industry and\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0the biggest technology trend that\u00a0has\u00a0changed\u00a0the way businesses\u00a0of all sizes\u00a0operate.<\/p>\n

Different industries are being routinely disrupted by new, emerging and more established technologies.\u00a0Most of these are\u00a0for\u00a0the better!<\/p>\n

Who is Clarity Technologies Group?<\/h4>\n

Clarity Technologies Group is a cloud\u00a0driven\u00a0IT\u00a0services company with a\u00a0Unified Communications, IT Support,\u00a0and\u00a0Security\u00a0focus. As discussed\u00a0in previous article, the company focuses on three areas: the digital workplace, customer experience and secured connectivity.<\/p>\n

The first pillar of the digital workplace predominantly focuses unified communications, collaboration and mobility. These tools help employees to be able to be more productive wherever they are.<\/p>\n

Where we work these days is not necessarily the office,\u00a0and many works are telecommuting during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Some of\u00a0this is\u00a0supporting field workers, supporting home workers or supporting field\u00a0salespeople\u00a0while also focusing on \u201cthe office.\u201d\u00a0At Clarity, our focus is on these communication and collaboration tools, and devices needed to maintain that.<\/p>\n

The second pillar is\u00a0customer experience<\/strong>, which should be a priority for all businesses regardless of industry.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s increasingly an omnichannel technology for the routing and reporting of interactions.\u00a0Today, increasingly,\u00a0there\u2019s automation, both to support the people within the contact center\u00a0and\u00a0automation to enable customers to be able to self-serve using mobile\u00a0for web, text, and\u00a0voice.<\/p>\n

The final pillar\u00a0is to\u00a0help Clarity\u2019s\u00a0customers<\/strong>\u00a0to be able to connect securely to their applications and their data secured connectivity on all parts.<\/p>\n

An industry entirely disrupted by the cloud:<\/h4>\n

The telecommunications industry has been entirely disrupted by the cloud. Around 10 years ago, it was an industry that was entirely based on-premise, and now \u201c80% of our pipeline is entirely cloud based.<\/p>\n

This began with\u00a0unified communications.\u00a0Contact centers are\u00a0moving a little bit slower, despite more than 50% of those projects now being cloud based.<\/p>\n

The cloud isn\u2019t a new technology, far from it, and it is even predicted that the term won\u2019t be used by 2025. The cloud will become so deeply embedded in business processes that the word itself may soon be no longer required.<\/p>\n

Responding to the disruption:<\/h4>\n

Businesses in different industries must adapt to survive the era of disruption they find themselves\u00a0in and\u00a0make some significant investments to survive.<\/p>\n

Clarity\u00a0continues\u00a0to invest in both our own cloud platforms and in the services that we develop, in order to help customers in their move to both our clouds and other public cloud providers.<\/p>\n

Machine learning:<\/h4>\n

The standout technology prediction for the near future. In previous editions of CTOs on our Doorstep, it has been evident that machine learning is the technology that\u2019s going to seriously start changing the way businesses operate\u00a0soon.<\/p>\n

But it extends beyond this. Machine learning will continue to have a bigger impact in network security, in terms of being able to do things like encrypted threat analysis or understanding similar behaviors.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re seeing the use of machine learning in customer experience, with things like automated chatbots, which were frankly\u00a0awful\u00a0when they were all algorithmic based. Machine learning is\u00a0making\u00a0them a little bit more useful.<\/p>\n

Machine learning is going to have an impact on every aspect of business technology.<\/p>\n

The adoption of\u202fcloud computing, ubiquitous high-speed internet like 5G wireless,\u202finternet of things, artificial intelligence and quantum computing will drive major shifts in the way the world works, including how we protect people. IoT devices will operate more efficiently and autonomously as AI evolves. And quantum computing is a transformative leap forward that makes possible new technologies that we haven\u2019t even imagined yet.<\/p>\n
